Thanks to the unique project for the renovation of the Ilgner Building and its transformation into the Business Incubation and Events Centre, CEDEMI now boasts superb infrastructures capable of hosting any kind of event in the Left Bank area. The project involved the complete renovation of an historic building once owned by the steel company, Altos Hornos de Vizcaya, the driving force of the region's economy, and involved the creation of a highly functional business centre consisting of bright and well-lit spaces.
In equipping the Ilgner Building with these facilities the aim was to transform it into something more than a traditional business incubation centre and to create a space that can meet the socio-cultural requirements of the Nervión area. Prior to the opening of this unique building, the Left Bank lacked a modern facility able to host events such as conferences and exhibitions, a shortcoming that has now, thankfully, been addressed.
